America's National Parks

America's National Parks

With more than 60 National Parks across the United States, choosing the top ones to explore can be a challenge. Often, it boils down to that special connection. This could be with a tree or an animal, a breathtaking sunrise, the gentle sound of a bubbling brook, or even an emotion.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, ARIZONA

The ultimate way to enjoy the park is by embarking on an all-inclusive white-water rafting adventure. These trips can last anywhere from 5 to 17 days, offering a variety of choices to suit your preferences. For instance, would you like to explore the entire canyon or just a section of it? Do you prefer to paddle yourself or would you rather have someone else navigate the boat for you?

Once you board your boat, you'll spend your days drifting along the river, experiencing the Canyon from its base. This perspective offers a true understanding of the canyon's immense scale. Expert guides will highlight various rock formations and share captivating origin stories passed down by the Native American tribes native to the region.

I also suggest looking at the types of amenities and activities that are available. Some resorts may specialize in wellness offerings like yoga and spa services, while others focus on adventure sports or nightlife. Online reviews from previous guests can provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of a resort, helping you make a more informed decision.

Wondering about the bathroom arrangements? I certainly was! Throughout the day, you'll enjoy numerous "smile breaks" where hydration is key. And for your other needs, a restroom with a view is always within reach.

Before you drift off to sleep, take a moment to gaze at the sky one last time. Goodnight, moon.

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, ARKANSAS

This is a place where history intertwines with nature. As the oldest national park, Hot Springs was designated as a reserve in 1832.

With more than 26 miles of hiking trails winding through verdant forests across various locations, the main attraction remains the captivating hot springs.

Although there are no outdoor soaking spots, two historic houses along Bathhouse Row offer visitors a chance to enjoy the spring waters. Our top choice is The Buckstaff Bathhouse, where you can experience the traditional methods recommended by doctors in the early 1900s. For the ultimate relaxation, consider adding a massage to your bath.

Due to the healing properties of its waters, Hot Springs became a sought-after destination for the wealthy and famous, including several infamous gangsters. Explore the quirky and educational Gangster Museum of America to discover how they coexisted with the residents of this charming town while engaging in bootlegging and operating illegal casinos.

SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA

We developed a deep affection for this National Park due to a subtle sensation, one that evokes a sense of feeling "tiny."

Arrive ahead of time and check in at the Visitor’s Center. There, you can pick up a map and the daily activity guide. We chose to embark on an afternoon hike led by one of the Park Rangers, and it truly paid off. He helped us spot a mother bear and her two cubs off the trail. Without his guidance, we would have overlooked them entirely. Camouflage is indeed effective!

The Big Trees Trail offers an excellent introduction to the majestic Sequoias. This well-marked path is easy to navigate and is perfect for strollers or individuals requiring accessible routes, as it is paved. Be sure to take a moment to embrace one of the towering Sequoias—there are few experiences in the world that will make you feel as tiny as this.

Feeling adventurous? Take a hike up to Moro Rock! This stunning granite dome is visible as you drive into the park. The out-and-back trail will take approximately 20 minutes to finish. Once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. If you're uneasy with heights, you might want to pass on this hike, as you could find yourself clinging to the bench instead of venturing out to the edge.

Enticing, aren’t they?

When you're prepared to reach out to our National Park, feel free to let us know. We're excited to assist you! Just make sure to share your favorite parks and the reasons behind your choices.
